Russian security firm and antivirus vendor Kaspersky Labs has come up with a new feature on their security software that is known as Safe Money Technology. It will protect users while conducting online shopping and bank transactions. As the name itself suggests, the application aims at protecting user’s money.
There are several features of the Safe Money Technology. It activates automatically when the user visits payment services like PayPal and banking websites, does verification of the banking and payment websites and also diagnoses the security status of the PC. What’s more, it provides a virtual keyboard on the monitor so that you can enter the payment credentials by clicking the mouse.
This new feature from Kaspersky works for all sites and needs user authentication to start working. You can add any number of banks that you deal with, payment system as well as online shopping sites to the list of safe sites. Safe Money’s protective feature gets activated automatically and tweaks the browser window to give a new look.
There are lots of choices for the settings which makes it easier to turn on/off Safe Banking for different websites. There is also a desktop shortcut which allows Safe Money to be launched quickly before you login to banking or shopping websites. Thus, it becomes easier to access the tool while entering any transaction related site. Kaspersky users can avail this feature without any charge from the Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 and Kaspersky Anti-virus 2012. Safe Money will be valid till the remaining period of the subscription.
