Las Vegas CES 2012: Hardware Products to Look Upon

As Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2012 is progressing, more and more products are being unveiled on its stage. Two hardware industry leaders Seagate and Western Digital rightly embraced the occasion to let people have a glimpse on their Thunderbolt drives and adapters.

Western Digital announced about its prototypes for new Thunderbolt drives before huge crowd of audience and journalists at the Las Vegas convention center on the second day of the event.
Western Digital representatives told that the drives will be released by the mid-2012.

However, Seagate unveiled adapters that are designed to well-fit into the existing Seagate GoFlex drives on the Thunderbolt slot, during this mega event. It was shared that these adapters will be ready for shipping by the middle of January 2012. Seagate has priced these adapters at around $100 for a USB drive and $189 for a desktop drive. “These adapters are designed to increase the speed to at least “10 times,” said a Seagate official.

The next in row to bag your attention at the 2012 CES trade show is the wireless Bluetooth noise canceling ZIK headset that was unveiled on this famous stage by Parrot before thousands of spectators and journalists. ZIK stands for one of the finest execution of the wireless technology in the headsets. These elegant looking sleek headsets are designed by famous French designer Philippe Starck.

Parrot claimed that the headsets are remarkably good in quality that offers usage convenience at its best. You can control the headset by using its touch gestures. Controlling volume is a breeze with these headsets that can be performed by swiping up or down. Moreover, you can rewind or skip the tracks through a horizontal swipe.
